Towbar Xpress – Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy
1. General Service Terms
Towbar Xpress is a registered mobile fitment service provider operating in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. We install towbars, nudge bars, sports bars, and a wide range of vehicle accessories. Services are rendered at your premises (residential or workplace) or at our workshop, by appointment.
Clients are responsible for:
- Ensuring safe, secure, and level access to the vehicle.
- Ensuring the vehicle is clean and free from obstructions where accessories will be installed.
- Being present or appointing an authorised representative to approve the installation.
We reserve the right to refuse fitment at locations deemed unsafe or unsuitable for mobile service.
2. Booking and Payment Terms
- Product Payment: Full upfront payment is required for all accessories before any orders are processed.
- Fitment Payment: Fitment services are payable in full on the day of installation, immediately upon completion.
- Cancellations and Refunds:
- Orders canceled prior to product dispatch may qualify for a refund, less any administrative costs.
- If a product has already been ordered, shipped, or delivered, non-refundable shipping and handling fees will apply.
- Custom or special-order items are non-refundable once dispatched.
- Penalties: A restocking fee or shipping cost may apply to returns, depending on supplier policies.
- Payment Methods: EFT and cash. Orders are not confirmed until payment reflects in our account.
3. Product Warranty & Installation Guarantee
- Towbar Xpress supplies products with warranties provided by manufacturers or distributors, typically between 1–5 years depending on the product.
- Warranty obligations are passed directly from the supplier and may differ by product category.
- Towbar Xpress offers a 7-day workmanship guarantee from date of fitment for installation defects only.
- Warranties do not cover misuse, accidents, wear and tear, or rust-related failures.
Warranty claims must be supported by proof of purchase and may require supplier assessment.
4. Liability and Insurance
- Towbar Xpress is not responsible for pre-existing defects, rust, or damage to vehicle chassis or body panels.
- Fitment on aged or rusted vehicles is conducted at the owner's risk.
- We carry public liability and workmanship insurance and will investigate any proven claims of damage caused directly by our installation.
- No consequential, indirect, or incidental damages will be entertained beyond the scope of the insured workmanship.
5. POPIA Compliance (Protection of Personal Information Act)
Towbar Xpress collects, processes, and stores personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, No. 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
- Personal information collected includes your name, contact details, address, and vehicle information.
- Data is collected via contact forms, booking systems, and during service interactions.
- Information is used exclusively for service delivery, communication, and internal record-keeping.
- We do not sell, rent, or distribute your information to third parties unless legally required.
- Your data is stored securely and access is limited to authorised personnel only.
- You may request access to your data, or request deletion, at any time by contacting us in writing.
6. Website Privacy Policy
Our website uses cookies and other tracking tools to improve user experience and collect basic analytics.
- Cookies: Used to remember preferences, manage sessions, and gather anonymised usage statistics.
- Forms: Information submitted via contact forms is securely stored and used solely to follow up on queries.
- Third Parties: We may use services like Google Analytics. These services may use cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies.
